Barlow Buescher,
Your comment is right on target. It is nice of you to compliment and thank Ben Sclair.
I wrote and published various works in The Suburban Times for something like ten years with Ben Sclair as my leader and mentor..
Ben works hard and always tries to do the right thing for the citizens in his area of influence.
Having worked along side and for Ben Sclair, I can easily support your sentiments.
Ben Sclair deserves the Citizen of The Year Award, if Lakewood City Council had such a thing.

Yes, it’s easy to forget who produced what we all enjoy and take advantage of.
An interactive public forum gives everyone an opportunity to be involved in the conversation of things that affect our lives and livelihoods.
We are seeing what the opposite of this looks like as the “Twitter Files” continue to be made public.
Avoiding the hard truth while others control the narrative is a recipe for destruction of our freedom.
Thank you very much Ben for giving us the ability and the opportunity to shine a light on information we believe should be public.

God bless all who contribute to the process of liberty.

I also commend Ben for a great job. Thank you for all you do to inform us of items of local interest.
This question is for Joe Boyle. Why don’t you contribute more? I know you’re on the other side of the country. I hope that that fact hasn’t sapped your creative talents. I always enjoyed you articles and in fact miss them.
The Suburban Times says
Hi Willow… Thank you for your kind words. Perhaps I can shed some light on to why Joe doesn’t contribute more. When I created The Suburban Times in 2005 I created a test all submissions against. For any bit of content to be considered it must be written by someone who lives in our coverage area OR it must be specifically about someone or something in our coverage area. Most of Joe’s stories started from an observation Joe made. Living on the other side of the country, it is much harder for Joe to observe the goings on in western Pierce County. That said, if Joe is ever moved to write something about his former home (for 51-years he might add), his words will forever be welcome in The Suburban Times. Ben Sclair, Founder.
