My title is the name of a song, When I Am Gone. Well, I am not gone yet, but I am getting older. One of the fun things about getting older — yes, there are some fun things — is having long term friendships.
In 1975, my daughter, Paige Evers, met a little girl in Judy Drysdale’s Oakbrook Children’s Center pre-school, named Jenny Hammond. They were only 3 years old.
After both little girls became women, they each started dual careers. Paige became an ordained minister and highly dedicated mother. Jenny entered the music industry in a creative way and she too became a highly dedicated mother.
Recently Jenny’s mother, Mary Hammond, shared a video starring her daughter and granddaughter. It is pure fun watching Jennifer Hammond collaborating with her daughter, Amy Skipper. Do not cheat yourself. Watch to the very end.
If you smile, laugh out loud or fall on the floor with a gut busting laugh, we will have gotten your day off to a good start. I hope we succeed, because that is my mission in life: helping other people laugh.
This video is like a bag of potato chips. I dare you to watch it only once.

I remember Jenny as a young girl growing up in our cul de sac, she was beautiful and talented clear back then. I knew both her parents. What a lovely mom and daughter. Thanks for sharing. Cuppy Walker
