I was working out on South Hill Puyallup this evening when I spotted this attractive eye catching restaurant called Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, aka (JJ’s). I had never really seen a JJ’s before. The magnetic attraction of the joint pulled me right into the parking lot.
This JJ’s is located at 12009 Meridian Av E, Puyallup, Washington. Phone: 253-845-1000. From Lakewood City Hall, JJ’s is 13 miles / 18 minutes away.
Another nearby JJ’s is located at 4027 Tacoma Mall Boulevard, Tacoma, Washington. Phone 253-471-3000. This JJ’s is 8 miles / 13 minutes from Lakewood City Hall.
JJ’s was founded in 1983 in Charleston, Illinois. If you want to check out JJ’s on the net go to www.jimmyjohns.com.
JJ’s delivers too, but their minimum is one sandwich. Eh? That’s right one sandwich minimum. These guys are funny.
The outside of the restaurant looks like fun. The inside is definitely some major fun. They have all kinds of interesting, thought provoking and unique humorous signs to see and read.
After being entertained by the interior decor, my next step was to study JJ’s menu, which is displayed on a big board hanging over the cash register. If you wish to avoid neck strain looking up at the big board, you can pick up one of their paper menus. The paper menu is not something for anyone my age though. The print is so small only someone young enough to be in grade school can read it.
The menu price options are $3.99 for Plain Slim sandwiches, $4.99 for 8” Sub Sandwiches and $5.99 for Giant Club Sandwiches and $7.99 for the J.J. Gargantuan.
I chose a #2 Big John roast beef sandwich for $4.99. It has to be one of the most flavorful sandwiches I have had in a long time, especially after I added some Freebies (onion, tomato, sliced cucumber, plus oil & vinegar).
The service was expeditious. My sandwich beat me to the “Pick Up Your Order Here” section of the counter.
As JJ’s says, “Your mom wants you to eat at Jimmy John’s!”

Let me guess, Joseph Boyle is the Regional Marketing Director for Jimmy John’s?
Joseph Boyle says
Trev C,
No, I am not the Regional Marketing Director for Jimmy John’s, I am just a “gourmet sandwich eater”.
But, if Jimmy John’s spots my article and your comment and then makes me a Regional Manager, you get a free sandwich a week for life.
