Outvoted by Seattle!

December 1, 2010 By David Anderson

By David Anderson, Tillicum

Nearing the half-way mark in the cross-country race to win the first place prize of $25,000 to help build Habitat homes, 2nd place Ohio has now outvoted Tillicum eight out of the last nine days. What used to be a comfortable lead of 645 votes has steadily dropped to below 500.

This is not the first time Tillicum has seen a large lead disappear. After rocketing into first place in only the 8th day of the 105 day contest, a near-200-vote lead was totally gone in just the next 10 days.

Slowly, imperceptibly, slipping into the abyss of might-have-beens, Tillicum of late has even been outvoted by upstart, and currently third place, Seattle. Seattle! Remember to vote every 24 hours at www.ahschallenge.com and especially on December 3 since every vote cast that day is doubled. Thank you!

Anther busy afternoon at the Computer Clubhouse voting for Tillicum. In January we get to teach robotics at the Tillicum School and in May we will take over the world!

Sometime between robotics and world conquest, plan something more mundane like a pizza party for all your help with Habitat!
