Description: Introduction to Stage Combat, taught by David Elwyn, actor, stuntman, and SAFD trained stage combatant.
In this series of classes, Actor-Combatant David Elwyn will lay the foundation for safely and effectively bringing violence to the stage, both with and without weapons! You will learn the foundations of how a fight is constructed, how to properly handle weapon props, how to move in the space while depicting violence safely, and how to use textual analysis to bring character to the combat and tell a compelling story.
