Description: Looking for a super fun way to build your accent and character voices toolkit? This is the class for you! We will delve into the complex and often hilarious world of regional dialects, a wide variety of accents, and original character voices. We’ll explore vocal expression, placement, and oral posture as we study and experiment with new characters.
In this series we’ll implement our accents and voices using monologues, short scripted scenes, and improvisation. We will touch on regional dialects of the U.S. (Brooklyn, Boston, Midwest, Southern, etc), some common accents from around the world (RP British, Irish, French, Russian, Spanish, etc.), and play with our own unique voices. You will also be provided with electronic resources for your further vocal adventures!
