
The University of Puget Sound will host “Insights into the Changing World of Artificial Intelligence,” a business summit and panel discussion, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, 99 Union St., Seattle.
This year’s University of Puget Sound Business Insights event will explore the impact of artificial intelligence on business, providing insights into navigating the evolving AI environment. Topics will include disruptive technologies, emerging trends, and ethical considerations.
Panelists, all Puget Sound alumni at the forefront of AI innovation, include:
- Jeremy Korst ’97, a partner at GBK Collective, offers valuable insights into the business implications of generative AI. He is a co-author of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School’s annual AI study and a regular contributor to the Harvard Business Review.
- Brian Marble ’00 serves as the senior director of strategic missions and technology at Microsoft. With 20 years of experience at the company, Marble has been at the forefront of AI innovation, contributing to early product incubations and the introduction of generative AI for government and scientific applications.
- Mary Nelson ’04 is the founder and managing partner of CampusEvolve. With a background in data science obtained during her time at Microsoft and Starbucks, she leads the AI-driven edtech startup CampusEvolve. This combination of experience provides her with a unique perspective on the transformative potential of AI in education.
Robin Jacobson, professor of Politics & Government at Puget Sound, will moderate the panel. Jacobson’s work explores the ethical and regulatory dimensions of AI. Through her research, she examines how governments and organizations are tackling the challenges of big data and AI, with a particular emphasis on bipartisan AI governance. Jacobson’s deep expertise in technology and policy uniquely position her to guide this critical discussion.
President Isiaah Crawford will open the event, underscoring the university’s commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue and innovation in the fields of business and technology. This event is essential for anyone wanting to stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of AI.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with local business leaders. The event is geared toward entrepreneurs, business leaders, and those interested in the future of AI. A Q&A session will follow the panel discussion, allowing attendees to engage directly with the panelists.
