FIFE – People who use Interstate 5 and the 54th Avenue overpass in Fife overnight will want to plan extra travel time Oct. 2-3.
Starting at 8 p.m. each night, the right lane of northbound I-5 approaching 54th Avenue will close.
8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 to 4 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3:
- Single lane closures on the 54th Avenue overpass.
- Northbound I-5 exit to 54th Avenue will close.
8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 to 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4:
- Single lane closures on the 54th Avenue overpass.
- Northbound I-5 on-ramp from 54th Avenue will close.
The southbound I-5 exit to 54th Avenue and on-ramps to southbound I-5 will remain open.
All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
The lane and ramp closures allow crews to apply lane markings to the roadway.
The project is one of 11 highway preservation projects included in the 2024 supplemental transportation budget passed by the Legislature earlier this year.
