Everest has a few more things to complete before he can go to trial and gets called in for an interrogation interview. After the interview, other key witnesses are brought in for questioning, but no one reports they saw him tear up his teddy bear. A polygraph is completed as a final piece of evidence. Without any key witnesses, Everest thinks maybe there is a chance he could be found innocent.
