The DuPont Historical Society is currently raising money to restore the last remaining boxcar from the DuPont Plant that was located in town. It will be restored by Historic Railway Restoration Inc. to look as close to its original condition as possible. DHS has received numerous donations and grants from organizations including the City of DuPont LTAC grant, Nisqually Indian Tribe Charity Fund, Squaxin Island Tribe, NRHS Railway Heritage Grant, Puyallup Tribe Charity Trust, Olympia Model RR Clinic members, the Over the Hill Gang in memory of former Museum Coordinator Jerry Williams, as well as several individual donors both inside the community and out.
If you would like to donate to the fund you can donate inside the museum during regular business hours, mail in a check to 207 Barksdale Ave, or donate online at our website or by using this: link https://www.powr.io/checkout_screen?unique_label=26056755_1485906178.
You can also show your support by purchasing a replica 3D printed boxcar or a DuPont train pin in our gift shop.
