The City of Lakewood, WA Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing for the 2024 Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map Amendment docket list on June 26, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. All persons may submit written comments about the amendments no later than noon on June 25, 2024 or testify in-person or virtually during the public hearing.
HEARING DATE: June 26, 2024
TIME: 6:30 P.M.
PLACE: Lakewood City Hall or via ZOOM. Instructions on how to attend the hearing, testify and/or submit written comments will be published no later than June 21, 2024 at https://cityoflakewood.us/planning-commission/
There are seven initially proposed amendments. A brief description of the amendments is listed below:
2024-01 Adopt the 2024 City of Lakewood Comprehensive Plan;
2024-02 Adopt the 2024 Tillicum-Woodbrook Subarea Plan as an optional element of the Comprehensive Plan;
2024-03 Amend the 2018 Downtown Subarea Plan to incorporate parcels rezoned in 2023 to Central Business District;
2024-04 Amend the 2021 Station District Subarea Plan to remove reference to the Lakewood Landing development;
2024-05 Adopt amendments to Lakewood Municipal Code (LMC) Title 14;
2024-06 Adopt a new LMC Title 16, incorporating the Lakewood Shoreline Master Program (LMA Chapter 16.10) and Shoreline Restoration Plan (LMA Chapter 16.20.)
2024-07 Adopt amendments to LMC Title 18A, 18B, and 18C to reflect current state law, multicounty and countywide planning policies, and other requirements related to the 2024 periodic update.
