“Dine we must, and we may as well dine elegantly…”
Buy your tickets now for an evening of fine foods, company and Victorian desserts set outdoors on the blissful lawn of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum.
Dine We Must returns to Fort Nisqually on June 14, 2024, at 6 p.m. Guests will have exclusive access to the Fort grounds during this after-hours event. Wander the buildings and chat with interpreters and enjoy beverages from the Fort Nisqually Foundation bar and passed appetizers hosted by Table 47.
Before dinner, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy time around the fire, play a game of croquet and have their picture taken.
Dinner will feature local Northwest seasonal delights. Inspired by elegant dishes of the Victorian era and crafted from ingredients sourced locally, guests will be transported back to a simpler time. But don’t be fooled; this chef-prepared menu will delight the tastebuds. Fort Nisqually baking experts will be busy in the 1855 kitchen making authentic desserts from the 19th century using a traditional cast iron stove and outdoor firepit.
Tickets are on sale now at https://www.metroparkstacoma.org/event/dine-we-must/.
Dress is upscale PNW to cocktail attire. Living history clothing always welcome here at the Fort. Note this is an outdoor dinner and the dining area and pathways have uneven surfaces of grass and gravel. Please dress for the weather and walking on uneven surfaces.
