We used to really enjoy Pacific Grill in downtown Tacoma, COVID killed off PG and many other restaurants. But now, one of our favorite restaurants in Tacoma to celebrate occasions is Indo Asian Street Eatery. We’ve celebrated a number of times with our relatives and friends. The latest visit was just for the two of us on a quiet afternoon. There were maybe twelve customers in the restaurant including us. Their wait-staff people are always helpful and friendly, but it takes them a little longer to check on us and serve when most of the seats are occupied. – https://indostreeteatery.com/
We sat near the front. Usually we sit much further back. Our Bundaberg Root Beer was a great way to begin our little feast. It was nice to just relax and often be entertained with students from Stadium High School. We saw a group of 8 marching up the hill across the street and then dancing across the road and the skipping down the hill. We were amused.
By the entrance there is a large window area with the latest entertainment on tap near by and somethings a little further away. I enjoyed seeing a poster for “Rent” a musical appearing at Tacoma Little Theater, which is just a few blocks away. We will be reviewing “Rent” soon.
We also spied a poster for “The Giver” a successful production at Lakewood Playhouse a number of miles away. We reviewed “The Giver.”
We cozied up and got comfortable just in time for dinner.
We love their incredible green beans. At home we eat them cold and they are still perfect.
The Chinese Egg Rolls were excellent.
The deep fried Calamari was my favorite.
Peg ordered the Sumai pork dumplings.
For dessert we had the fresh coconut faux ice cream.
The sauces were all tasty tasty tasty and it didn’t seem to really matter what went specifically here or there.
Peg and I relaxed and just enjoyed ourselves. The only thing they could have served to make the day better would have been a king size bed with comfy pillows . . . and curtains.

Thank you, Don and Peg.
As a foodie, I love hearing about tasty restaurants. I live in Lakewood and don’t venture out too far past the line but this might be a place I would like to go and try their delicious food. I always enjoy your food reviews because you write in words that I can understand and can almost taste what the food would be like.
The next time I am in Tacoma, I will definitely seek out this restaurant.
I appreciate the pictures as I am a visual person and if something looks really good nine times out of 10 it generally is.
Keep up the great work in reviewing the fun out-of-the-way unique mom and pop shop restaurants….
