On Saturday February 10 at 2:08pm, Lakewood Officers were dispatched to an unknown trouble incident at 8056 83rd Av SW (MOD 83 Apartments). Information was relayed that a juvenile had contacted a resident of the complex about an incident in a unit. The resident went to the unit where they located two persons down inside.
Responding officers located an adult male and an adult female in the apartment deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives responded to the location to conduct interviews and the investigation. Preliminary information gathered leads to the incident being a domestically related murder/suicide.
The juvenile was associated with the unit and is currently safe and with family. The investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the incident. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no imminent danger to the general public.
