Sen. T’wina Nobles (D-Fircrest) sponsored a resolution in honor of Tacoma Rev. Dr. Gregory Christopher and his immense contributions to the local community.
Christopher, who holds a doctorate in ministry, will retire from his role as the senior pastor for the Shiloh Baptist Church in 2024 after more than two decades of service. He is also the immediate past president of both the Tacoma Ministerial Alliance and the Tacoma NAACP, as well as a current member of the Black Collective, which serves Tacoma and Pierce County.
“I’m so proud to bring forward this resolution in support of Rev. Christopher, especially during Black History Month,” Nobles said. “Rev. Christopher has tirelessly dedicated himself to the betterment of Tacoma, especially the Black community, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of so many.”
