The holidays are just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than by sharing the festive spirit with neighbors and loved ones?
The City of Lakewood Holiday Parade of Lights and annual Christmas Tree Lighting is Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023.
Festivities kick off at Lakewood City Hall at 4 p.m. There will be food trucks, carolers, circus activities hosted by Vuelta La Luna and more.
At 4:30 p.m. intricately decorated floats illuminated by lights, and walkers handing out treats will parade from Park Lodge Elementary School down Gravelly Lake Drive to Main Street into Lakewood Towne Center. People are encouraged to line the parade route to cheer on their friends and neighbors.
Then, at approximately 5:30 p.m., as the last parade float makes its way to City Hall, the Lakewood City Council will ask the crowd to help with the annual countdown to the lighting of the city Christmas tree.
Bring your camera to snap a photo with Santa – one will be outside in front of the tree; the other seated inside. After the tree lighting there will be live entertainment in Council Chambers.
Interested in joining our parade? The parade entry deadline is Nov. 27, 2023.
