DUPONT – Nighttime travelers will want to plan extra travel time for Interstate 5 lane and ramp closures near DuPont the week of Nov. 13.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will repair guardrail and continue construction at the Steilacoom-DuPont Road interchange.
The overnight closures also affect access to and from the Ft. Lewis weigh station.
Lane closure on northbound I-5
A single lane of northbound I-5 between Center Drive and 41st Division Drive will close from:
- 7:30 p.m. each night to 4:30 a.m. each following day, Monday, Nov. 13 to Thursday, Nov. 16.
Steilacoom-DuPont Road ramp closures
The Steilacoom-DuPont Road on- and off-ramps to and from northbound I-5 will close from:
- 7 p.m. each night to 4:30 a.m. each following day, Monday, Nov. 13 to Thursday, Nov. 16. Signed detours will be in place.
Center Drive ramp and weigh station closures
The Center Drive on-ramp to northbound I-5 and the northbound I-5 off-ramp to the weigh station will close from:
- 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. each night, Monday, Nov. 13 to Thursday, Nov. 16. Signed detours will be in place.
- The Ft. Lewis weigh station will be closed during the same hours.
No two adjacent ramps will be closed overnight at the same time.
