Pizza Casa located in Lakewood on Pacific Hwy SW closed Sunday, July 9 to a full house. This family owned restaurant has been serving local families since 1958, including 4 generations of my family since 1965. We have so many fond memories. Sad to see it close…

Back in the day; I am talking circa 1962, when I lived in Puyallup, if you wanted to take a girl out for pizza, I needed to travel to Pizza Casa in Lakewood as there were no pizza restaurants in or around Puyallup. I took my dates to this fun restaurant.
Pizza Casa, thanks for the memories. Sorry to see you go.

My husband and I had no time to come in to say goodbye and thank you! No more senior ravioli and spaghetti dinners, with one delicious meatball each!
Thank you, Pizza Casa, for the memories!

We celebrated many birthdays of a good friend of mine I went to school with at Pizza Casa, along with his parents and other relatives. We also went there for dinner after we both graduated from Lakes HS in 1975. Always enjoyed the spaghetti they served there; they will be missed. Thanks for the memories, Pizza Casa!

Terry the gifted cook of 26 years is my fiance. He was so dedicated and gave his best to his long time customers. Dan the owner owner gave him 3 days notice. I am still upset at how he treated Terry. Everyone look out I will be posting where you can find Terry cooking next if you hatswhat he so chooses. Terry has a Bachelor’s degree and music is his passion. I know so many in the community lived and adored him. I just feel bad at such terrible treatment his employer gave him.

Sadly in 23 years in Lakewood and giving them a try every so often, it was, in my visits in need of a makeover in decor and food. It was entirely too expensive for ordinary Americanized Italian and long surpassed by better quality and priced restaurants. The building looks barely inhabitable and the inside was lost in the 70s at best.
It is always sad when a long time business is lost, but it needed rescuing a long time ago.
