Pierce County Council social media post.
The County Council proclaimed April 16 to April 23, “Days of Remembrance of Holocaust Victims” in Pierce County. The Holocaust was the state-sponsored, systematic persecution and annihilation of European Jewry by Nazi Germany and its collaborators between 1933 and 1945.
Kerpal says
When every day/month is a different day of remembrance or some sort of “price”, no one remembers and no one has pride. You’ve gone and made it all worthless by over doing it.
Brian Borgelt says
Yes, and today everyone is a victim of some sort, if someone else merely does not embrace who they are as a person or culture.
The person who chooses not to embrace is now an oppressor worthy of persecution.
This diminishes the travesties of human history that truly claimed the lives of countless millions of human beings.
Many things are being exploited today for reasons other than their stated intent. Why is that?
Left is right. Up is down. In is out. Truth is lie. Lie is truth.
When did critical theory conclude that one could not think critically?
If we truly want to remember and honor the victims of the Holocaust, then we should include all of genocide, to create a clear consensus and a clear message – Never Again.
The prelude to every genocide is the ruling elite disarming the general population, in the name of public safety.
