More than 66,000 Pierce County residents got a COVID-19 bivalent booster since early September. And our vaccine graphic shows the daily number of residents getting a vaccine dose is the highest it’s been since January. This is great news as we head into the holidays!
More of our friends and neighbors are getting protection from the latest omicron variants. And everyone 5 and older is now eligible for a bivalent booster! You can find your dose at all events at tpchd.org/vaxtothefuture.
As of Oct. 15, 69.2% of all Pierce County residents completed their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine and 28.1% are up to date. We’ve administered 1,756,300 doses to Pierce County residents and 633,600 completed their primary series, and 257,200 residents are up to date.
In the last 2 weeks:
- We administered 29,800 doses.
- We administered 1,500 first doses.
- An average of 2,100 residents received a dose each day.
Vaccination percentages (up to date) by age group:
- 0-4: 6.3%
- 5-11: 8.8%
- 12-17: 22.0%
- 18-19: 29.4%
- 20-34: 26.8%
- 35-49: 38.3%
- 50-64: 20.9%
- 65-79: 41.3%
- 80 and older: 46.5%
