Sandra says
In order for one to observe the meeting virtually the link provided by the school district has to function properly, which it did not last week for the February 28 school board retreat. I clicked on the link provided on the Clover Park School District website several times shortly after the meeting had begun. Each time, after clicking on the link, a screen appeared with the message: Invalid meeting ID. (-1). I learned from another person that he experienced the same results from his personal computer. I finally was successful by using the link which had been published earlier the same day in The Suburban Times in the CPSD announcement of the meeting.
Filming of the meeting abruptly stopped at one point with no explanation. In place of agenda proceedings there were live screen shots of two different staff members in their offices with perplexed looks on their faces. Next the camera provided a prolonged view of board members walking around, eating, chatting with each other. Not knowing how much longer my time would be wasted, or if filming of the remainder of the meeting would actually occur, I signed out.
In the future I hope the technological department can make virtual attendance of school board meetings user friendly for effective communication between the district and the community.
