As a voter who supported Republicans with donations and as a volunteer for more than 50 years, voting for every Republican presidential candidate from Nixon through Romney, I’d like to ask that each Republican candidate inform as to whether they agree or disagree with their party chair person’s statement, presumably reflecting the official Republican position, that the activities of January 6, 2021, at the United States Capitol are an expression by ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.
