City of Tacoma announcement.
Vision Zero is a global initiative to eliminate traffic fatalities and severe injuries while increasing safe, healthy, and equitable mobility for all. In 2020, the Tacoma City Council passed Resolution 40559, committing to joining the Vision Zero Action Network and abiding by a Vision Zero goal that eliminates traffic fatalities and serious injuries in the city of Tacoma by 2035.
Currently, the City is developing the Vision Zero Action Plan, which will be brought before City Council for approval later this summer. To help inform this plan, the City invites Tacoma residents to participate in the Vision Zero Community Survey, open now through Friday, March 4, 2022.
This survey invites participants to share their thoughts about traffic safety in Tacoma. The information collected will help the City ensure that the Vision Zero Action Plan aligns with the values, needs, and experiences of the community. The survey is available in English, Vietnamese, Khmer, Russian, Spanish, and Korean.
