City of University Place announcement.
As 2022 dawns, visitors to City Hall—both in person and virtual—will see some new faces.
Chantel Mons is the new receptionist and will be the first interaction many people have with U.P. offices, as she can “direct traffic” and questions to the appropriate personnel.
Kennith George has joined the Planning and Development Services department as a new long-range planner who will be responsible for overseeing many aspects of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Also new to Planning and Development Services is Emily Tedder, who will assist members of the department with various aspects of the planning process.
And with the new year, the City of U.P. also has a new mayor and mayor pro tem for 2022 and 2023. Steve Worthington was elected by the City Council to serve as mayor as of Jan. 4, with Javier Figueroa serving as mayor pro tem.
Please note: At this time, City Hall offices have resumed remote work practices. If you need to meet with a staff member in person, please call or email to arrange an appointment. All in-person meetings must adhere to state COVID regulations.
