A press release from Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

On Sept. 16, our 14-day case rate per 100,000 for Aug. 25-Sept. 7 is 643.2. The 14-day case rate offers the most reliable look at COVID-19 disease burden on Pierce County.

Our hospitalization rate is currently 16.2 per 100,000.

Today, we confirmed 382 COVID-19 cases and 1 new death, a woman in her 70s from South Pierce County.

Our totals are 76,872 cases (PCR = 68,432, antigen = 8,440) and 740 deaths.
