On Sept. 14, our 14-day case rate per 100,000 for Aug. 23-Sept. 5 is 667.0. The 14-day case rate offers the most reliable look at COVID-19 disease burden on Pierce County.
Our hospitalization rate is currently 16.1 per 100,000.
Today, we confirmed 376 COVID-19 cases and 7 new deaths:
- A woman in her 60s from Frederickson.
- A man in his 60s from Central Pierce County.
- A man in his 70s from Key Peninsula.
- A woman in her 30s from Lakewood.
- A man in his 50s from Puyallup.
- A woman in her 80s from Tacoma.
- A woman in her 80s from Tacoma.
Our totals are 76,191 cases (PCR = 67,935, antigen = 8,256) and 733 deaths.
Today, one previously reported death was found to belong in King County and removed from our total.
