I want to say thank you to the voters of Lakewood for their support and vote in my campaign for Clover Park School Board, District 4. I appreciate the confidence you showed in me, to represent you and your students in our school district. Unfortunately, I did not make it past the primary to run in the General Election.
No need to worry, there are some amazing candidates running for Clover Park School Board and two of them, I personally believe, if it can’t be me representing you, it should be them. David Anderson and Jeff Brown are two very dedicated and active members of our community who have stepped up and are running for School Board Director Positions 4 and 3, respectively.
I have spent some time with both men and can honestly say that they will be amazing additions to the board. Both David and Jeff have lived in Lakewood for quite a few years, raising their families here and now are working with and supporting their grown children as they bring their own children up in the Clover Park School District.
David and Jeff were both active in their communities and schools and although their children have grown, David and Jeff continue to be present in the communities and schools for their grandchildren. I think this gives both, David and Jeff, a unique perspective as they approach it from both the eye of a parent as well as the grandparent. We know with the many faces of families these days, a great number of students have not only parents involved in their lives and education, but grandparents as well.
David and Jeff both understand the importance of the role of the school board in working with the Superintendent and Administration as well as the Teachers, but they also understand that the end game of the board is to work with these individuals toward an amazing and exceptional education for each and every student in our school district. It seems that lately the focus is less on education and more on optics and politics and it’s leaving our children unprepared and caught in the middle. David and Jeff understand that not only working together as a school board along with the Superintendent, involving not only the teachers, but families because who else knows our students better than their own families.
David and Jeff are clear that being on the Clover Park School Board means that they are there for each and every student, parent and faculty member. It’s not the place of the Board to choose who they represent and listen too, but that they need to work with each part of the system to make sure they are educating and providing for each child in a safe and welcoming environment.
David and Jeff understand the role of the school board isn’t to pick sides, but to find the middle ground so that they reach all students, not just some students.
I hope that if you voted for me, you would consider voting for David and Jeff in the General Election this November! I believe that that both David and Jeff, are an asset to our schools and communities and will be an even greater asset to our Clover Park School Board!
Please vote for David Anderson and Jeff Brown for Clover Park School District to help bring the change that our school district needs!

Just because you didn’t make it to the board doesn’t mean you still can’t contribute. I hope you will religiously attend all their meetings and speak out. Thank you for being engaged.

Ms. Andrea Caldwell,
Nicely done. It is my hope that each and every voter expends the necessary effort to intelligently decide how they should vote in order to bring about the best election end result for each and every student.
Voters, if after intelligent analysis you feel an incombent is your best choice, so be it.
Having said that, please understand that the fact that a candidate is an incumbant does not mean they are the best candidate to vote for and is therefore not a reason in itself to vote for an incumbent. The only reason to vote for an incumbant is because they are the best choice.
Remember, voters, it is all about the kids.

Thank you Andrea for being willing to serve as a candidate in the Primary. Your perspective as a parent with children in the district brings discerning weight to your endorsement here of David Anderson and Jeff Brown for CPSD School Board. It is much appreciated!
Jeff Brown says
Thank you Andrea, for showing up to run for the school board. You would have been a great school board member. Your heart and mind together would bring a balanced, creative and courageous voice to the board.
Thank you too for your endorsement for me as I run for position 3. I appreciate your words ‘ David and Jeff understand the role of the school board isn’t to pick sides, but to find the middle ground so that they reach all students, not just some students’.
Since our schools are commissioned to support parents with their kids education, we must work hard to listen to EVERY voice and to look for creative ways to respond and excel. We must also discern what distracts us from our mission to support parents and provide appropriate instruction to their kids.
Thank you again Andrea!!
