The following streets will be closed on Friday, September 10, 2021 in downtown Puyallup for the 2021 Washington State Fair Western Rodeo and Cattle Drive Parade. No parking signs will be placed on affected streets 48 hours in advance. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., city crews will begin closing numerous arterials and side streets in downtown Puyallup. The following arterial streets will be closed:
- Meridian Street, between Stewart and 7th Avenue SW/SE
- 3rd Street SW, from West Main to 9th Avenue SW
- Main Street, from 5th Street SW to 3rd Street SE
- Pioneer from 5th St SW to 3rd Street SE
- 4th Avenue SW from 2nd Street SW to 3rd Street SE
- 7th Avenue between 5th St SW and 3rd Street SE
- 9th Avenue SW, from 5th Street SW to South Meridian
Detour routes and signs will be posted to maneuver around the street closures. The city anticipates streets affected by the parade will be re-opened immediately following the parade; however, 9th Avenue SW between South Meridian and 5th Street SW will remain closed throughout the duration of the Fair.
