For over 30 years, UPPC has sponsored Divorce Recovery. These workshops have impacted and been attended by hundreds of people! Our next Divorce Recovery will take place on successive Thursday evenings from September 16-October 28 from 6:15-8:30 PM. For first-time attendees, the charge is $50. The alumni fee is $30. Fee includes dinner each night and a workbook. Scholarships are available. We will be meeting in person in UPPC’s Fellowship Hall following social distancing procedures. We will also offer childcare.
We have done some retooling of our topics to be more relevant to the stories we’re hearing, including adding a week at the beginning to talk about

- September 23: Resiliency
- September 30: Where is God in this?
- October 7: Legally Speaking

- October 21: Forgiveness
- October 28: Hope for the Future: Dating and remarriage panel

Here’s a reflection about it from a former attendee:
During the middle of my divorce I found myself feeling isolated, rudderless, and without hope. That was also about the time I was invited to the UPPC Divorce Recovery class. I found myself with a group of people with stories just like mine. The class steered us through the maze of legal, emotional, and financial fog that clouds this topic. It provided non-judgmental encouragement and direction for the future. By the end of the six weeks I began to sense a light on the horizon. Attending this class became one of the best decisions of my life, in the midst of one of the worst trials of my life. It showed me that you truly can grow through divorce.
