A press release from Clover Park Rotary.
The Rotary Club of Clover Park is proud to announce the 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to support American Lake Veterans Golf Course (ALGVC). The tournament will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Sign up today at www.CloverParkRotary.org.
The tournament is part of a joint fundraiser and 5-year commitment by Clover Park Rotary to support ALGVC and other Veteran initiatives. ALVGC is an ADA capable facility for Veterans/Wounded Warriors and a great success story. The course is 100% run by dedicated volunteers who manage the front desk operations, beautify the grounds, rake the traps, maintain greens and the fairway, instruct disabled Veterans, help to organize events like this tourney, and perform all other duties associated with running a golf course. ALVGC was designed by none other than retired professional golfer Jack Nicklaus. This is also a unique opportunity to play a course not open to the general public. There are some pretty great prizes to win as well!
The cost for an individual player is $125, and a four-person team is $500. This includes 18 holes of golf, ½ powered cart, a putter series golf towel, and lunch.
We need your help! We would love to see your swing, but if you are unable to join us, please consider sponsoring a veteran or foursome of veterans to golf.
Sponsorship opportunities include the following:
Individual Hole Sponsor
- $250: 18” X 24” Placard with business name on a designated hole
- $500: 24” X 48” Placard with business name on a designated hole
Super Donor Sponsor
- Titanium ($5,000): Includes signage on #1 hole, and (3) complimentary foursomes
- Gold ($2,500): Includes signage on a hole, and (2) complimentary foursomes

In addition to golf, Clover Park Rotary is busy with the cleanup and restoration of South Puget Sound Wildlife Area in Lakewood. Clover Park funds a variety of local charitable programs such as Communities in Schools, Children’s Summer Food Programs, Partners for Parks, Emergency Food Network Break Bags, Christmas shopping for local children, local college scholarships, Lakewood Playhouse Summer Children’s Scholarships, and Lakewood’s Film-Art-Books Festival.
