On Aug. 16, our 14-day case rate per 100,000 for July 23- Aug. 5 is 379.6. The 14-day case rate offers the most reliable look at COVID-19 disease burden on Pierce County.
Our hospitalization rate is currently 8.3 per 100,000.
Today we confirmed 419 COVID-19 cases and 1 new death, a man in his 30s from Spanaway.
On Aug. 14 we confirmed 317 cases. On Aug. 15 we confirmed 309 cases.
Our totals are 57,753 cases and 639 deaths.
