On August 9, our 14-day case rate per 100,000 for July 16- July 29 is 240.1. The 14-day case rate offers the most reliable look at COVID-19 disease burden on Pierce County.
Our hospitalization rate is currently 4.4 per 100,000.
Today we confirmed 197 COVID-19 cases and no new deaths.
On August 7 we confirmed 224 cases. On August 8 we confirmed 297 cases.
The Delta variant is driving up COVID-19 cases in Pierce County. The Department of Health reports 98% of Pierce County cases between February and June were among those not fully vaccinated. If you haven’t already, take your shot at ending this pandemic. tpchd.org/vaxtothefuture
