The City of Lakewood is soliciting project proposals that support and encourage tourism and cultural activities in Lakewood, WA. The source of monies from which projects will be funded is the City’s share of taxes collected on overnight stays at hotels, motels and short‐term rentals, including such activities as Airbnb, bed and breakfasts, RV parks, and other housing and lodging accommodations for periods of time less than 30 days within the City of Lakewood.
The application period begins on Monday, August 2, 2021 and closes at 5:00pm on Monday, August 23, 2021. The 2021 Lodging Tax Application for 2022 Grant Awards provides information regarding eligible uses of lodging tax revenues and the process for submitting your application.
Grant application packets must be complete, signed, and received by the City by the due date. Applications can be emailed (preferred method) directly to Manny Cristobal at ecristobal@cityoflakewood.us , or one hard copy can be submitted at City Hall, 6000 Main Street SW. Please coordinate with Manny Cristobal if you would like to drop off a hard copy. Late or incomplete application packets will not be considered. If you wish to submit your application electronically, please email your intent to Manny Cristobal and we will send confirmation receipt of your application once received.
