A press release from City of University Place.
Don’t forget that this Saturday, Aug. 7 marks the return of the popular U.P. summer tradition of Movie Night in the Park. This year’s feature presentation is Disney’s “Moana,” the story of a young girl who tries to break a curse and set things right on her ancient Polynesian island. Come out to Cirque Park and get settled in time to see Moana herself perform a hula dance at 7:30 p.m. Afterward, she’ll lead a dance lesson and pose for photos. Moana is provided by MAGIC in the PNW—Character Parties and Events LLC, a small mother-daughter run business based in University Place.
Make it an evening by packing a picnic supper and getting sweet treats for dessert from a ice cream truck on site. There will also be bounce houses and face painting and U.P. City Council members will be handing out free “I Love UP” stadium cushions. Then snuggle up under the stars and get ready for the show to begin at dusk. This FREE evening of fun and entertainment for the whole family is provided courtesy of the City of University Place.
