A press release from Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Making A Difference Foundation (MADF) announces the Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank in Tacoma will be having a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for those still needing the shot.
The clinic will be for one day, this Friday, August 6, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the food bank, located at 3543 E. McKinley Avenue, Tacoma. Anyone who comes in and gets the vaccine will get a free $50 gift card as well as free food.
This clinic is brought to the community in partnership with the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department. The Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank is a program of The MADF and is the largest independently owned and operated food bank in Pierce County with the largest food delivery system. MADF’s president and founder, Ahndrea Blue, states, “Pierce County stands at only 35% vaccinated. We really feel it’s important, with our reach into the community, to do our part in ending the pandemic as quickly as possible. We believe this is a great way to make it as easy and accessible as possible for people to come down and protect themselves and their loved ones.”
