On August 2, our 14-day case rate per 100,000 for July 9- July 22 is 152.9. The 14-day case rate offers the most reliable look at COVID-19 disease burden on Pierce County.
Our hospitalization rate is currently 3.7 per 100,000. Today we confirmed 215 COVID-19 cases and 1 new death, a man in his 60s from South Pierce County.
The state reported a data delay, which contributed to the high number of cases reported today. All cases are from the last two weeks.
On July 31 we confirmed 78 cases. On August 1 we confirmed 88 cases.
Our totals are 53,452 cases and 635 deaths.
