A Lewis Army Museum will receive a fresh coast of paint as part of a Living History Weekend (July 31-August 1, 2021, 10 am-5 pm).
Members of the Puget Sound Military Vehicle Collector’s Club will repaint a rare M4A1 Sherman Tank on display at the Lewis Army Museum. The tank is 5th of the earliest known production tanks built in 1942.
I had no idea there was now a separate entrance for non-military people. That is so much easier than going to Main Gate and getting a pass, etc.
Where is this new entrance, how accessed?
On the Dupont-Steilacoom Road.
As you head South, it will be on your left just before you enter Dupont….there should be a small sandwich board indicating the entrance.
if you drive past the Starbucks (also on the left), you missed it.
