This coming Tuesday, 3 Aug, author Eric Ebel will be autographing his book on the famous 1846-47 “Donner Party” tragedy at the newly re-opened LakewoodHistory Museum.
Trapped in the freezing snow of the Sierra Nevada mountains, 90 people fight to survive an ordeal that will go down in history.
Book sales and autographs begin at 6 pm.
Following autographs, Ebel will present a historical program on the famous 1854 “Medicine Creek Treaty” and the subsequentIndian War. Included in the presentation will be the location of the often discussed 1854 Treaty Tree.
