Posted to Galloping Gerties Facebook page on January 8: With a very heavy heart we are sad to say that Gerties will be closing her doors forever. All entrees are $10 until we run out of food and close the doors. We loved serving the community and we will miss you all so very much. We will only be open for a few more short days, so please come in and say goodbye.

This is another example of how any elected official should have at least a decade of private sector experience, and then be limited to 8 years of total elected service.
Does anyone believe if the lockdowns affected the livelihoods of big tech, or big government (all public sector unions) would still continue? Jay Inslee knows that he is only hurting the people who wouldn’t vote for him anyway. 63 year business is dead because of fear and tyranny.

69 years. Victim of changing times. Not tyranny.

This is a shame. I just posted our previous article about Gerties. We had a great time there and enjoyed the food!!!! Sorry to see you go!

Back in 1978 I was eating GertieBurgers for lunch almost every day. Gertie was there ladling out wisecracks to the business community and the young GI’s.
What a shame to see them close. Another institution and memory lost.

Gerties family is sad to see this. She had a nice long gallop. Times change and things move on. But the memories still live. For is it is like a death in the family.
