LAKEWOOD – In compliance with RCW 63.32.010 of the Revised Code of Washington, notice is hereby given that the Lakewood Police Department and Police Chief Mike Zaro will hold an online auction of unclaimed property from the Lakewood Police Department Property Room. The auction will commence on or after Monday, November 30th, 2020 at www.propertyroom.com.

Ben do you have a better address for this auction, since the one given takes you to California or back East?
I would think it would have wa or lakewood.wa.propertyroom.com or something more specific to Lakewood not the entire US where the winner has to pay for shipping across country.
Thanks, Karen.

Karen… the notice was verbatim from the City’s website and confirmed by LPD prior to posting.
KAREN J DUGGINS says
Man how can they sell stuff if they are so vague? Amazing! Thanks for getting back to me.
KAREN J DUGGINS says
In particular when the law states:
RCW 63.32.020
Notice of sale.
Before said personal property shall be sold, a notice of such sale fixing the time and place thereof which shall be at a suitable place, which will be noted in the advertisement for sale, and containing a description of the property to be sold shall be published at least once in the official newspaper of said city at least ten days prior to the date fixed for said sale. The notice shall be signed by the chief or other head of the police department of such city. If the owner fails to reclaim said property prior to the time fixed for the sale in such notice, the chief or other head of the police department shall conduct said sale and sell the property described in the notice at public auction to the highest and best bidder for cash, and upon payment of the amount of such bid shall deliver the said property to such bidder.
[ 1988 c 132 § 2; 1925 ex.s. c 100 § 2; RRS § 8999-2.]
Therefore a location or site specific to Lakewood should have been presented. Maybe someone can enlighten the Lakewood Police Dept. regarding that?
