TACOMA – Contractor crews finishing a project that builds connected HOV lanes between Interstate 5 and State Route 16 have overnight ramp closures scheduled for Monday, Dec. 9 for sign installation, striping activities and pavement sealing.
Some work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled. Ramp closures will have signed detours in place.
11 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 to 4 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10
- Northbound I-5 exit to Portland Avenue will close.
- South 38th Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 and I-705 will close.
- Northbound I-5 exit 133 will close.
- Eastbound SR 16 ramp to northbound I-5 will close.
Travelers are reminded to please continue to watch their speed in work zones and give construction crews the room they need.
