I recently spoke at the CPSD Board Meeting (hear my comments below) about the proposed 2020 levy.
I hope all District residents will strongly consider opposing the levy for several different reasons which are highlighted in my comments.
- Education per the State Supreme Court is now fully funded as addressed in the McCleary Decision
- If there is a shortage of funds maybe teachers should not have gotten double digit raises last year
- The District lets facilities like Woodbrook Middle School become so run down there is no other option but to tear them down
- CPSD test score are second to lowest in all of Pierce County.
There has been no accountability for the District for the funding they have had in the past and until there are significant changes in many areas the District has not earned the trust to spend more of our tax dollars.Print This Post
