This is Kali’s fourth year teaching and first leading a fourth/fifth grade split class at Four Heroes Elementary.
She spent time as a commercial photographer, working in retail and stage managing before deciding to move into education. She quickly figured out that teaching is where she belongs.
“I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” she said. “I definitely am where I feel needed and where I need to be.”
Raised in the North End of Tacoma, Kali brings creativity into the classroom. She works hard to connect learning concepts to the real world and said she sees herself as a guide for her students. “I’m not just guiding them through the curriculum,” she said. “I am helping them become the best humans they can be.”
Kali’s focus on helping her students build character and show kindness is a great example of how our staff work hard every day at creating promising futures for our students in and out of the classroom.Print This Post
