LAKEWOOD – An overnight closure of the Madigan Army Medical Center gate on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) has been rescheduled for a second time due to forecasted adverse weather conditions.
Contractor crews replacing the Berkeley Street overpass in Lakewood have re-scheduled the overnight closure to Monday, Feb. 25. It had originally been scheduled to occur this weekend.
Closure details – work will occur on one of the following nights:
- Monday, Feb. 25, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26
- Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27
The overnight closure will allow crews to install barrier and stripe lanes leading to and from the gate into a temporary configuration. This work is weather sensitive.
During the overnight closures, first responders such as ambulance, fire and police will continue to have access through the gate. All other JBLM personnel or medical staff will need to use alternate routes.
