Alana is a student leader and likes to help others at her school. She has an important job as a helper in her music class, and she is proud to serve as a role model for other students. “I like to help others kids see the right thing to do even when no one is watching,” said Alana.
Her favorite subjects are PE and science. She smiles when she describes the different things she learns in science. Experiments are one of her favorites particularly measuring the different variables.
What does she love most about Tyee Park? “I love the learning experience you get here,” she said. “We teach everything: science, social studies, reading, math, writing and PE.” She notes she is future focused and doesn’t like to dwell too much on history.
After high school graduation in several years, she will take a little time to rest and spend time with her family before hopping into college. She is still exploring areas of interest—doctor, artist, dancer or video game designer—or maybe a combination.
