Brandon Carlson-Clarke, a MESA program student who is studying biology at Tacoma Community College and aspires to become a neurosurgeon, has been selected as a semifinalist for the competitive Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. The semifinalists were chosen from a national pool of almost 1,500 applicants, with eight semifinalists chosen from the state of Washington. Finalists will be announced in April.
The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship provides up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year transfer school, plus access to specialized advising and other resources.
Carlson-Clarke has also been selected as one of TCC’s two All-Washington Scholars for 2019, and last summer he earned a spot in the University of Washington’s competitive Neurological Surgery Summer Student Program. Read more about Carlson-Clarke here.
