We are delighted to announce that Lt. Gov. Cyrus Habib will be the speaker at the Champions for Youth Breakfast on March 19. Habib is well known for his commitment to addressing, among other things, the educational opportunity gap and to working for more and better opportunities and a higher quality of life for all residents of Washington.
The Champions for Youth Breakfast, the primary fundraising event for Communities in Schools of Lakewood, will also feature the award of scholarships contributed by Clover Park Technical College and Pierce College as well as recognition of students having made outstanding progress in school.
The Breakfast will be held at the McGavick Center at Clover Park Technical College on Tuesday, March 19. Doors open at 7 am with the program beginning at 7:30. It will conclude by 8:30.
