Lakewood City Manager John Caulfield is scheduled to sign a state of emergency declaration Feb. 12, 2019 following a special meeting of the Lakewood City Council scheduled for the same day at 7 p.m. at Lakewood City Hall, 6000 Main St. SW.
The purpose of the declaration is to assist the City as it responds to the extensive damage and yet-to-be-know impacts of the repeated snow and ice storms that have hit the region since the start of February 2019.
Following the special meeting the Lakewood City Council will conduct a study session, which was canceled and rescheduled from Feb. 11, 2019. The study session will comence immediately following the emergency declaration.
Also note: The Feb. 12, 2019 7:30 a.m. Coffee with the Mayor has been canceled due to the adverse weather conditions.
