Bates: Northwest Now on KBTC: human trafficking in the Pacific Northwest

January 10, 2019 By Bates Technical College

Washington state continues to be a hotbed for human trafficking, where victims are abused sexually or exploited for forced labor.

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and on this edition of Northwest Now, we’ll hear from local groups that are working to put an end to this crisis and educate the public about the severity of human trafficking.

We’ll also talk to a survivor of human trafficking, and find out how she is using her own horrifying experience to end to this atrocious crime.

The Emmy and Telly Award-winning public affairs series Northwest Now  airs Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on KBTC Public Television, a service of Bates Technical College.
