The best aid we can give vets is to support no more wars and redirect the 70 billion dollars to creative projects not defensive projects that are actually offensive and cause other countries to build up their military forces often by purchasing weapons from us. A vicious cycle we seem blind to see.

What vets need are modern hospitals and 5 x the number of mental health therapy rooms so that the VA can hire more clinicians. Without rooms, vets have to wait and suffer. most facilities were built post World War II. new facilities and our extensive Renovations are quite expensive and therefore difficult for everybody to get on board. But that’s where the real snag in all treatment modalities. just check out the Seattle eye-care department on any day. It’s a stressful, congested, and sloppy place. Treatment is great but a 6 month wait..
